Sudden cardiac death in football - causes, behavior and prevention was the main topic that the lecturers at the Tsarsko Selo Complex, Sofia, presented to the football doctors on August 16, 2021.
Uni-MM EOOD together with the Medical Commission of the Bulgarian Football Union organized a specialized one-day training seminar for doctors and physiotherapists from professional football clubs in Bulgaria and the medical staffs of national teams on the topic of the behavior of football teams on the field, called "cardiac arrest".
The participants were about 50 people, and lecturers - prominent specialists in sports cardiology.
Dimitar Simov, MD, PhD and Emanuil Georgiev from S&T Bulgaria presented the topics "First aid with automatic defibrillator" and "Ultraportable ultrasound in sports medicine", as well as practical training with Philips Healthcare technologies.
The algorithm for first aid - cardiac massage and artificial respiration and automatic external defibrillation was demonstrated, according to the guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council from 2021. A practical course on mannequins and simulators was conducted by First Aidbg.com First Aid School Instructors and the European Resuscitation Council.
